Gospel for Shared Lectio

The Shared Lectio group meets on Wednesdays at 8pm (UK time) on Zoom. Please contact me for the Zoom details. The group does not usually meet over Christmas or in Holy Week. Other dates are subject to change, so please keep returning to this page.

I set up the group in April 2020, during the first Covid lockdown, as a way of keeping members of the Exeter Cathedral community connected. Members have come and gone in that time, but we have continued to meet. Until Advent 2023 we read the Gospel of the day together. Then for the next two years, we switched to using the Psalms. From November 2025 until further notice, the group is reading through St John’s Gospel.

We are using the NRSV translation, which is available on the Bible Society’s website. The leaders are using our judgment to divide the Gospel into readings of a manageable length to use each week.
